Project Description
JMG has been the preferred engineering consulting firm for the Launceston Airport for a number of years, completing several key projects during this time. Projects including the security screening upgrade, the airside / landside flip and the major retail extension project.
Projects at the airport can pose significant challenges to the design team, in particular working within the constraints of a works airport and the associated security and access restrictions.
This required a high level of strategic planning in the concept stage of projects and a close working relationship with the client during both design and construction phases. Launceston Airport was recently awarded the 2018 innovation & excellence award which was attributed to the terminal redevelopment projects.
