Project Description
Client: Hobart International Airport Pty Ltd
Year: 2014
JMG were engaged to produce a land use strategy for the Hobart International Airport, which formed the basis for the new Hobart International Airport Master Plan.
The project had the objective of identifying potential growth opportunities for HIAPL’s commercial and industrial land and producing a strategy to facilitate such growth.
This involved a comprehensive review of HIAPL’s land in terms of environmental and infrastructure constraints and opportunities, existing market conditions and factors affecting the potential attractiveness of HIAPL land to various market sectors.
The final strategy included a precinct plan that identified specific areas that ought to be retained for particular land uses and development parameters for each precinct. The precinct plan was linked to a Decision Making Framework that was developed to assist HIAPL in considering development proposals for their land and to achieve an optimal site layout.
