Project Description
The public jetty at Margate, popular with commercial and local fishermen, reached the end of its design life in 2009. JMG were engaged as project managers which included structural, hydraulic, and lighting design consulting.
Key considerations in the design were:
• minimal construction time frame to reduce downtime of the jetty
• minimal maintenance of the final structure
• high level of durability taking into consideration of the corrosive environment
• economical design
