Spotlight/Anaconda - Glenorchy

The development contains a total retail floor space of 8,080 sqm and 286 on-grade car spaces.  The sloping site required significant terracing to provide car parking and services.


JMG provided civil planning, detailed design and construction administration services for the development of a new Spotlight and Anaconda retail outlet at 2 Howard Road, Glenorchy. Our team collaborated closely with the project manager, planner, traffic engineer, and other consultants to document the site bulk earthworks, carpark, drainage, site water, sewer and stormwater connections, and perimeter retaining walls.


The development contains a total retail floor space of 8,080 sq m and 286 on-grade car spaces. The sloping site required significant terracing to provide car parking and service vehicle areas that complied with the clients strict grading requirements and applicable Australian Standards.


Associated with the development, JMG worked closely with the Glenorchy City Council to strengthen and widen Howard Road, providing Left and Right turn lanes into the development.
